JOB SUMMARY
The Deputy Court Clerk is responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to the Municipal Court. This role involves managing court records, scheduling hearings, processing case files, and handling public inquiries related to court procedures. The Deputy Court Clerk ensures the court operates efficiently and in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The position requires strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills to manage a high volume of court documents and interaction with the public and court personnel.

Work Location: Fredericksburg Municipal Court, 103 Industrial Loop, Ste 1000, Fredericksburg, Texas 78624.
Work Hours:
8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. During the school year, Monday hours, once a month may be extended to 9:00 pm for Teen Court.

Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Presiding Judge, this position is for managing the administrative and non-judicial functions of a Municipal Court of Record, including supervising non-judicial personnel. The Court Administrator is also the Clerk of the Court and requires specialized knowledge of court process and procedures to include non-judicial functions, the development and implementation of policy and procedures, budgeting, case-flow management, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting, responding to public inquiries and records maintenance.
8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. During the school year, one day of month is extended until 9:00pm, for Teen Court.

MUNICIPAL COURT CLERK
DEFINITION
Under general direction, this independent position performs daily legal operations of the Municipal Court Department while possessing strong organization and basic accounting skills. Works very closely with the Prosecutor, Municipal Court Judge and Police Department in all processes of the Court. Performs administrative duties in assisting City Administration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under direct supervision of the City Secretary, performs clerical and administrative functions necessary to support the Municipal Court, requiring knowledge of Municipal Court procedures and traffic laws. Provides support for the Municipal Court Judge and Municipal Court Prosecutor in their functions of administering justice to include, but are not limited to: processing citations, collecting fines and fees, filing state reports and processing payment to the state, scheduling hearings, court dates and trials, maintaining the warrant database, preparing court dockets, and summons, assisting with the preparation of complaints, judgements, processing and clearing warrants, corresponding with defendants and attorneys, serving as courtroom clerk, data entry. Performs other secretarial tasks to assist in the support of Court and City Administration. Has extensive public contact requiring judgement, initiative, discretion, and tact. Ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously. Must have effective communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and deal with conflict. Must have cash handling experience. Preference will be given to a candidate that has experience with Municipal Court procedures and Incode software. Spanish language skills are a plus.
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
Education, Training and Experience: High school diploma or GED, and prior municipal court experience is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organization skills and attention to detail; the ability to accurately convey information to others and to keep accurate and organized records. Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Incode. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with e-mail, and any other functions deemed necessary by management.
Knowledge of: Court Administration, general municipal court and office procedures, and City administration policies. Customer service principles, protocols and methods.
Ability to: Work independently and as a team member, maintaining composure and confidentiality, and working effectively in a high-pressure environment with changing priorities. Understanding, and applying relevant laws, rules, ordinances, codes, and regulations.
Licenses and Certificates: Valid Texas Driver’s License. Must obtain Municipal Court Clerk Certification, Level I within 18 months of hire date. Ability to obtain Notary Public certificate within the first year of employment. Additional technical training and certification may be required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in a standard office environment.
Salary Range is $46,000-$69,000 dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Class Summary:
The Director of Court Administration serves as the chief administrative officer for all non-judicial functions of the District and County Courts at Law, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight across a wide range of court programs and initiatives. This position ensures the effective, efficient, and equitable administration of justice by aligning court operations with the judiciary’s mission and values.
The Director leads organizational transformation by fostering a high-performance culture grounded in innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities span program management, fiscal stewardship, technology integration, case flow management, and stakeholder engagement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Leads the development and implementation of the Courts’ strategic plan, ensuring alignment with Trial Court Performance Measures and community needs.
Oversees Court operations to promote access to justice, procedural fairness, and public trust.
Provides direction and oversight for specialized court programs, including Specialty Court Programs and the Competency Docket.
Fosters a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and employee empowerment to advance long-term organizational sustainability.
Provides direct supervision of key programs to include: overseeing Indigent Defense Program appointment processes, attorney rotation systems, and compliance with the Texas Fair Defense Act; and supporting Specialty Court Programs operations, evaluations, and enhancements of alternative case processing and rehabilitation initiatives.

Education and/or Experience Required:

Desired Qualifications:
Certification as a Certified Court Executive (CCE) or Fellow of the Institute for Court Management (ICM).

Position Overview:
The United States District Court for the Western District of Texas is accepting applications for the position of Court Interpreter (Spanish/English) in San Antonio, Texas. Remote interpreting will be required across the Western District of Texas divisional offices.
A Court Interpreter provides interpreting and translation services for Spanish speaking defendants, witnesses, and family members. The incumbent also provides interpreting services for the general public conducting business with the court or the Clerk´s Office.
Representative Duties:
Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must have successfully completed the Federal Court Interpreter Certification Examination (FCICE) and be federally certified by the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts for Spanish/English. A minimum of three (3) years of specialized experience is also required. Candidate should also possess basic computer/software skills in order to perform translation, research, and administrative duties.
Specialized experience is defined as experience that has provided the interpreter with the knowledge, skills and abilities to accurately and idiomatically render a message from the source language into the receptor language without any additions, omissions or other misleading factors that in any way alter the intended meaning of the message from the source
language speaker in a courtroom or legal environment.
